I really appreciated all the help you have given me with [the COMP tool]. this has been the first time I have worked with HEULE Precision Tools and you have given me a great example of why I would want to do business with HEULE in the future.
It [HEULE BSF tool] has automated a process for me which was very labor-intensive. It has freed up operator time because I know when I get past a certain feature, it is lights out machining.
"...To make this as labor free as possible and save a tool change, look into Heule Vex-S drill/chamfer tools. We use one on a flanged shaft we make in 65-45-12 ductile. Each shaft has ten M8 tapped holes and we have run a couple thousand parts without ever changing the drill tip or chamfering blade. Best of all, we never reach for a hand drill to chamfer a tapped hole. Your setup will have to have enough clearance beneath the parts to allow the chamfer blade to reach the bottom side though. The one we use is 2 x Dia..."
"I have used it (a HEULE tool) on a really tough/hard mystery steel (Turkish construction equipment wheels) on flat surfaces and it worked great, lasted a long time too..."
So far the tool and inserts are working out great. Thank you for helping [our company] stay on the cutting edge and competitive.
Our production is up and tool cost is down. The COFA tool made a big difference on this part.
Excellent results. We were really impressed with how nice the spots and side
wall looked [with the BSF tool].
The BSF tool performed so well that I have now cut out the other five axis roughing, saving us three operations in total and 15 minutes in cycle time.
We are now drilling and chamfering both sides of the part [with Vex-S] faster than we can tap it.
We got the consistency we needed to keep our production going AND saw a $45,000/yr savings in time and labor.
The VEX-P combination tool replaced two tools and cut our cycle time in half for that operation.
After seeing the parts made by the HEULE tool, our customer will no longer accept hand benching of their parts.
We saved over $60,000 just by eliminating a second machining operation.
It is really helping our process and the guys running the machine love it!
[The GH-Z] increased production and shortened a 15 hour operation to only 2.5 hours.
So far we've run 420 counterbores, up from 32 on the old tool, and we've only indexed the two-sided inserts once.
We've had the tool in production with no problems. Our scrap rate went from approximately 400 pieces/month (due to chamfer issues) to less than one.
By going with the HEULE SOLO Back counterbore tool, our end user documented a $13,249.55 per machine yearly cost savings. With 5 machines, this equals $66,247.75 annual cost savings, which is on top of the 181.33 hours per year of time savings.
